It was a bitter-sweet day for the Galway Tribesmen Rugby League club on Saturday. Creating history when hosting the first Munster/Connacht Rugby League final outside of Limerick, the Tribesmen also fell short against the Titans of Limerick by 28-18.

Walsh’s return from a broken bone in his hand is a timely boost for the Galway squad as they prepare for their 4B qualifier game against Donegal on Saturday week in Croke Park (6pm).

Oughterard golfer Devin Morley produced a super display to finish in the top 10 at the recent Connacht Under-18 Boys’ Championship.
Morley, who plays out of Oughterard Golf Club, was the top Connacht finisher at the championship with a four over par overall, and rounds of 73, 75, and 72.
