Gary Higgins of GCH took a comfortable victory in the fourth race of the 5km. Higgins clocked 16.32 in this race in Tuam, winning by a clear margin from Ruaidhri Geraghty, also GCH, who ran 16:54, and Damien Larkin of Craughwell AC who ran 16:59 for third.
