Colga FC made up for an early exit from the Irish Cup when they claimed this year’s Galway and District Ladies League in their debut season.
The finale to the season was Monday night’s game in Kilcornan when they faced Loughrea FC, and it was the visitors who threatened in the early exchanges.

After a long break over the summer months, the Cooper Galway Senior Hurling Championship resumes with two attractive fixtures this Sunday at 6pm in Killimor and Athenry.
In Killimor, there is a group A top-of-the-table clash between Portumna, who are hot favourites to regain the county cup, and Mullagh. Both sides have shown good form in the group stages and Mullagh have full points from their three games. Portumna are unbeaten too and they will be keen to lay down a marker about their intentions for the months ahead.

Galway have been beaten by Dublin at this stage at every grade this season, resulting in the senior B side being Galway's only remaining representative in an All Ireland.
