Loughrea Golf Club beat Galway Bay Golf Club 3/2 in the Pierce Purcell Cup, while Galway Golf Club beat Athlone Golf Club by six holes in the Barton Shield and Co Sligo Golf Club 3/2 in the final of the Senior Cup.

In camogie, Galway face Derry in Ballinasloe (2pm) on Saturday in the Gala Intermediate Championship, while in hurling the Galway intermediate hurlers play Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final at 5pm in Portlaoise.
