It was not the finish Galway Women’s FC had hoped when they headed to Dublin to face UCD Waves in Jackson Park in Sunday's Continental Tyres League.
However a depleted Galway were always going to struggle against the Waves on this occasion, going down 3-0 in their final game of the season.

Valeo from Tuam are through to the Connacht interfirms Junior Football final after a hard-fought 2-8 to 1-9 victory over Vistamid from Leitrim.
In a cracking contest between two well-matched sides in the Connacht Centre of Excellence, two first-half goals laid the foundations for this victory with Valeo avenging defeat at the same stage last season. Although Vistamid were on top for most of the second half, the accuracy of Paul Varley led Valeo to victory.

Despite a positive start to this year's Continental Tyres WNL, Galway have fallen off the pacesetters, and they travel to Dublin in the hopes of salvaging something from the season.

This Sunday the Annaghdown ladies Gaelic football club will have one of the biggest outings in the club’s history when they head to Parnell Park in Dublin to take on Shane O’Neill’s (Armagh) in the LGFA Intermediate All Ireland Club final (1pm).
Tom Murphy’s side booked their place in the final with a well-deserved 1-8 to 0-6 victory over Abbeyside (Waterford) two weeks ago.

Connacht host Cardiff Blues tomorrow (7.35pm) and Lam says the break for the autumn internationals has allowed his squad to recharge mentally and physically after they slumped to 10th in the Pro 12 table with their first defeat to the Dragons since 2012.

New Galway United manager Shane Keegan has starting assembling his new squad with three players having re-signed with the club.
Colm Horgan and Marc Ludden were the first to pen new contracts, followed by Kevin Devaney. However United have lost their captain, with Shamrock Rovers confirming Ryan Connolly's move to Tallaght next season. A key man for United, he will be a huge loss, having played 96 games and scored 12 goals in his three seasons.

SSE Airtricity Moycullen have qualified for the Superleague National Cup semi-final stage for the first time after successive wins over Belfast Star.
It was an excellent win on the road for Moycullen winning by 84-80, and by five points on aggregate 156- 151 having edged the first leg at homeby 72-71.
