A win for Galway will see them almost guaranteed a league final berth, should results in other games go in their favour. Meanwhile, Mayo’s division one status hangs in the balance following a worrying run of form which sees them with only three points from their opening five fixtures.

There was heartbreak for the girls from Presentation Athenry when an injury-time goal ensured Loreto College Kilkenny snatched victory in the Tesco All-Ireland Post Primary Schools’ Junior A Camogie final at St Rynagh’s in Banagher.
Heroine Caoimhe Keher Murtagh finished with 3-1 to her credit, but it was the match winner that put Loreto ahead for the first time in the game, having fallen behind to a goal after just 25 seconds from Olwen Rabbitte.

Two goals from Roisín Leonard lifted Galway’s Lidl National Football League prospects as Tim Rabbitt’s side ran out convincing winners against Dublin and claimed top spot in division one.
Ailbhe Davoren and Tracey Leonard also struck for goals, while Carla Rowe led the way for Dublin with a 1-4 tally. However it was not enough as Mick Bohan’s side succumbed to a 4-6 to 2-6 defeat, their second in a row.
