They explained that prior to selecting this site they had examined many other locations throughout Galway.

The National Energy Research, Development, and Demonstration funding programme is a Government initiative to fund innovative energy research projects. Applications are accepted from companies, public sector and semi-state bodies and research organisations, including universities, institutes of technology, and publicly-funded institutions.
