Brigit’s Garden is offering a unique opportunity for grandparents and grandchildren to have fun together on Sunday from 1pm to 5.30pm.
As part of the Bealtaine Festival celebrating creativity in older people, Brigit’s Garden is offering a day with lots of activities, including a treasure hunt around the gardens and woodland, story-telling in the Roundhouse, hanging up wishes and memories on the wishing trees, arts and crafts, games, and a special ‘best grandparent’ celebration.

The Renmore Parish Development Association collection will help with the running costs of the Fás scheme within the area which supports the maintenance of the church and grounds, parks, hedges, flowers and shrub beds. The association is open to new members.

A 25-year-old man charged with dealing drugs valued at approximately €12,000 has been further remanded on continuing bail.
Zydrunas Bendorius with a rental address given as 13 An Creggan, Barna, appeared before Galway District Court on Monday charged with alleged possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply at Briarhill Shopping Centre on September 15, 2011, contrary to Section 15 and Section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977. He was further charged with possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis resin at the same location and date.
