IMF role for NUI Galway professor

NUI Galway economics professor Alan Ahearne has been appointed as an advisor to the International Monetary Fund.

Professor Ahearne, head of economics at NUI Galway, will be an external advisor to the strategy, practice and review department, advising IMF senior management on how the fund could better support the efforts of countries at all levels of income to boost growth and create jobs in the period ahead.
