Walsh was approached by Renmore residents seeking an upgrade of the playground at Lakeshore Drive which had become almost unusable and unsafe.

“I canvassed the area on Saturday with Hildegarde Naughton T.D. and it was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the facilities there. At the time, I was advised by the City Parks Dept. that the required expenditure of €30,000 was unavailable due to financial constraints. I persisted with the matter and secured funding of €10,000 in each of the subsequent council budgets (Dec ‘17 & ‘18) to upgrade equipment at the park,” he said.
