BMW is the most popular imported electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, according to vehicle History and data expert Cartell.ie.
It looked at the figures for the year end in September 2022 and found that for cars only, BMW leads the way with both the number one and number two spots. the The 530e is the most popular imported model this year in this combined segment. Overall more than 1,000 BMW PHEVs have been imported in the year-to-date.

New car registrations for October were down 2.1% (2,624) when compared to October 2021 (2,680). Registrations year to date are marginally up 0.6% (104,056) on the same period last year (103,425) and are 10.4% behind (116,124) that of pre-Covid levels.
