The sins of the father...

Wed, Apr 19, 2017

What happens when we don’t take responsibility for our lives? What are the consequences of this? This is my take on it; I believe that we come onto this earth to learn lessons, and our lessons are the reverse of what we experience in life. Now this may sound confusing but its not. It goes as follows; if in this lifetime, I have chosen (unconsciously) to, or need to learn about abundance, I will then, in this lifetime choose to be born into a family that believe in lack. If the family we are born into already believe in or experience abundance the lessons of having abundance are, already learned.

People of the Tribes : Meet Marguerite

Thu, Apr 13, 2017

I always wanted to follow my heart in life. It was just one of those things. I studied biochemistry and then psychology, but something was missing. I loved what I did, but I wasn't in love with it. I suppose, one day I just said to myself, if you are going to really find your thing, you better do it now. Time is moving along. I just did it. I don't know why, but I switched on the laptop and wrote a children's book.

People of the Tribes : Meet Brian

Thu, Apr 13, 2017

"I graduated from NUIG in the middle of the recession in 2011 and was having no luck with jobs. I developed an anxiety disorder and just lost all confidence in myself, which has been a pretty common theme for the young Irish over the last couple of years, especially for guys. I was feeling lost and decided the only way I could change the route my life was taking, was to start running full sprint at every fear I had, to regain that confidence. After completing my Master's in UL, I was offered a job in Malaysia. The idea of moving to a country on the other side of the world, leaving the safety net of home and family behind was terrifying, so I ran at it. It was the best decision I ever made. I was given opportunities I would never have been afforded in Ireland. I was promoted to Research & Development Team Leader in my company within a year. I was nominated, quite embarrassingly, as CLEO's Most Eligible Bachelor in Malaysia, which I only agreed to because it scared me. Life was fun over there and I got comfortable, but in late 2015 one of my best friends died in a car crash in Kuala Lumpur and it threw me of-course again. The anxiety and depression came back in force and it made me question whether my job in the Oil & Gas industry was really what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, so I quit and began developing my own business and moved back to Ireland. I created a YouTube channel called “Real Engineering", where I teach the science and history behind engineering. I somehow managed to grow the channel into a legitimate business in just 6 months and now have 450,000 subscribers and average about 2 million views per month.”

With 10 kids between us on the Mykidstime team, we want to share some of our fun things to do with kids on rainy days.

Thu, Apr 13, 2017

Breastfeeding is a natural way to feed your baby. It gives them all the nutrition they need at the correct temperature and is great for when you are busy and on the go.I breastfed both my children but it is not always easy, especially on your first child. It takes patience, practice and support. Getting support can sometimes make the difference between continuing beyond the first few days or weeks or giving up entirely.

Natural solutions to irritable bowel syndrome

Thu, Apr 13, 2017

The team at Evergreen Healthfoods get many queries in relation to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). People ask what exactly it is and what they can do to reduce the symptoms naturally. In basic terms, IBS symptoms include abdominal pain, bloating and irregular bowel habits, including alternating diarrhoea and constipation. In some people, irritable bowel syndrome can be a mere mild annoyance, while others can suffer tremendously crippling IBS symptoms on a daily basis.

The abdominal pain associated with IBS is usually triggered by eating and relieved through the passing of a bowel movement. Believe it or not, IBS sufferers are at high risk of becoming malnourished, as no matter what they eat, the nutrients cannot be properly absorbed during the digestive process. Digestion rates vary from person to person but in general the stomach empties about two to three hours after eating. Unfortunately, IBS sufferers do not enjoy this regularity. This often results in abdominal pain, bloating, and irregular bowel movements, all of which can have a major impact on quality of life.
