There was no problem parking on Mainguard Street when this turn of the century photograph was taken. The building to the right was O’Connor’s confectioners and tearooms. I'm Dave, I tell everybody that I'm from Galway. I lived in the Renmore area as a child, but as the son of Hotel Manager's the family ended up in Killarney. I returned to go to College and have found it hard to stay away ever since. Galway has a unique spirit, there's a feeling in the air that's hard to describe but when you come back after time away you know that you have come home, I couldn't live anywhere else. I'm obsessed with History and the relics of the past, evidence of Medieval Galway can be seen at every turn. I'm an Antique dealer and my wife Victoria is a Knitwear designer we have a Crafts and Collectables shop in Corbett Court.
