Gypsy jazz and bellydance

AN ORCHESTRA playing Eastern European folk and a bellydance group will share the stage at Kelly’s Bar tonight from 9pm.

The Underscore Orkestra, from Portland Oregon, play Balkan folk, Klezmer, Gypsy jazz, and swing on violin, guitar, accordion, horns, clarinet, bass, sousaphone harmonica, piccolo, ukulele, and bambazoo. They have toured Europe and the Americas over the past seven years.

Blue Teapot launches Fund it campaign for new show

iD, A new theatre piece conceived by the actors of the Blue Teapot Theatre Company, will premiere at the Galway Arts Festival in July.

The title iD, refers to identity and identification, as well as being an acronym for intellectual disability, and those who devised the show are actors with intellectual disability. It will be directed by Scott Williams, who runs acting conservatoires in London and Paris.
