GALWAY’S ANAM Theatre company will bring another classic of Russian literature to the theatre stage with Alexander Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin as part of the Galway Theatre Festival.

At least year’s festival Anam performed Brian Friel’s adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s story The Yalta Game. This time the company has produced a stage adaptation of Pushkin’s verse novel, which was published in series form between 1825 and 1837.

MASTER GUITARIST Pierre Bensusan, described by the LA Times as “one of the most unique and brilliant” acoustic guitarists in the world, plays Galway next month.

This great French-Algerian guitarist plays the Róisín Dubh on Monday November 8 at 9pm as part of his Irish tour to promote his new album Vividly.

THE ROSAMUNDE Trio will play the Aula Maxima, NUI Galway, on Thursday November 4 at 8pm as part of Music for Galway’s 30th Anniversary Season.

On the night they will perform one of Beethoven’s earliest works, the Piano Trio Op 1 no 2; Brahms’ Piano Trio No ,2 in C major, Op 87; Josef Suk’s Elegy for Piano, Violin and Cello, Op 23; and ‘Softly, In The Dusk...’ written for the trio by Peter Fribbins in 2007.
