THE CHEKHOV technique for actors is often associated with performing tragedy and intense situations, but it can be used for comedies as well.
Core Theatre College will host a series of classes on ‘Comedy and Chekov Technique’ given by theatre director Max Hafler and actress Sarah O’Toole from March 11 to April 10, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. The classes will examine the plays The Importance of Being Earnest, Jerusalem, and Cloud Nine and explore various skills needed for comedy.
