Filmmaking workshops for young people

SPECIAL EFFECTS artists, screenwriters, and directors will be in Galway city this month to give beginner workshops in film for young people.

Hosted by the Galway Youth Arts Alliance, all workshops will take place at the Fóroige Galway City Youth Café, The Fairgreen.

Two of Ireland’s leading reggae singers Lariman (pictured) and Cian Finn will play the next Rootical Sound System gig at The Victoria Hotel, this Saturday. Cian’s debut album, This Applies, due out in the summer, was produced by Prince Fatty. Lariman of Dublin’s Dub Investigation, will play some new material on the night. Doors are 10pm. Admission is €6 before midnight and €8 after.
