Junior Galway Film Fleadh script competition

GALWEGIANS AGED between 13 and18 who have an idea for a story that could be turned into a film, documentary, book, or video game are sought for the Junior Galway Film Fleadh Story Pitching Competition.

The Fleadh, in association with the Galway Film Centre and SpunOut, is seeking entries to the competition. Those interested in taking part should write a 500 word idea for a story. Three will be shortlisted and the young people who came up with the ideas will be invited to present it in the Town Hall Theatre to an assembled audience and jury on Thursday November 17.

Halloween painting workshop

This is the first of a new annual programme of workshops, masterclasses, lectures, and demonstrations to be hosted by McGurran and invited artists in her studio. The workshop, Still life by the sea, approaches traditional still life painting step by step from simple drawing and observation to painting.
