Ad hoc choir introductory workshops

IF YOU have ever wanted to try singing with others, then the ad hoc choir workshop might be for you, with a new run of introductory workshops this month and next.

The workshops are on Saturdays August 11 and 18, from 1pm to 3pm, and on Saturdays September 8 and 15, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Cost is €5. The ad hoc choir is a 'natural voice workshop', running in Galway since 2013. The Natural Voice movement is committed to sharing a group singing space to everyone who wants to sing. All songs are by ear. No experience is necessary.

Féasta Sráide Mhaigh Cuilinn is going to be a very special day for Moycullen. We will be reliving memories of our past, whilst embracing our modern day use of Irish. During the 1930’s and 1940’s Moycullen locals used to have a similar celebration close to where An Furán is now. Féasta Sráide Mhaigh Cuilinn is going to be an Irish day, or “Lá Gaelach,” behind the Coach House pub from 2-6pm to have a “Street Feast” with a difference. Noel for the Coach House has kindly agreed to let us take over his car-park and transform it into a “Hub na Gaeilge” or Irish hub for the day. We want to celebrate our wonderful native language in the best way possible by having a fun day for young and old.
