AS PART of Cúirt 2012, the Galway University Hospitals Arts Trust will host two poetry events in the Art Corridor of University Hospital Galway.
Tomorrow at 11am, poet and musician Fiona Sampson will launch Poems For Patience IX. Fiona will introduce 21 poems she has selected. The poetry is circulated throughout the waiting areas of UHG and Merlin Park and will be on display on the UHG Art Corridor.

GALWAY YOUTH Orchestra will play Seapoint Leisure Centre, Salthill this Saturday at 8pm to celebrate the orchestra’s 30th birthday.

JOHNNY MOYNIHAN, one of the great Irish folk singer-songwriters, plays the upstairs bar of the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday April 24 at 9pm.
As one-third of Sweeney’s Men, alongside Andy Irvine and Terry Woods, Moynihan is a seminal figure in Irish folk. He introduced the use of the Greek instrument, the bouzouki, to Irish music, and his compositions, such as ‘Standing On The Shore’ were covered by Anne Briggs.
