ROOTICAL SOUND System will launch their new fortnightly reggae session this Saturday.
The new night takes place at 21 Eglinton Street (formerly The Drum Bar) and will feature international and local guests playing roots reggae and dub. This Saturday’s gig will see singer Murray Man (Mellow Vibes studio, Birmingham) and local band Intinn.

GALWAY IS in store for a night of African and Christian music - drawing on gospel, soul, funk, pop, and hip hop - at the Agape Festival 2011 Night Of Praise.
The Agape Festival takes place on Friday July 22 at the Clayton Hotel Galway from 7pm to 10pm. The host artist on the night will be Nigerian born, Galway based, singer-songwriter Shaday (Folashade Shekete), who released her debut album UNLEASHED...this is Me earlier this year.

GALWAY WILL be one of the main locations for shooting the film, Seven Songs For Amy, which will be directed by BAFTA nominee Konrad Begg, and feature Patrick Bergin and Galway’s Aindrias de Staic.
Seven Songs For Amy will be shot in Galway city and county in and also in New York. The Galway connections do not end there as the company behind the film is Kinvara based Sonny and Skye Productions, while County Galway based singer-songwriters Jim McKee and Ultan Conlon will contribute music to the soundtrack.
