TOM CREAN - Antarctic Explorer, the award winning, critically acclaimed, stage show on the life of the Irishman who served with Scott and Shackleton, returns to Galway.

The show is at the Town Hall Theatre from Thursday May 23 to Saturday 25 at 8pm. Written and performed by Aidan Dooley it won the Best Solo Performance Award at the 2003 New York International Fringe Festival and the Fringe First Award at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe.

Film and TV exhib-ition

TODAY SEES the opening of an exhibition of observational documentaries made by film and TV students of VTOS adult Education Centre Galway.

The exhibition takes place in The Harbour Hotel today at 4pm and all are welcome. There will also be three 15 minute dramatic shorts. Documentaries will focus on diverse subjects such as organic vegetables, kickboxers, artists, and pilots.
