ONE OF the best-loved Galway restaurants of recent years has been Nimmo’s on the Spanish Arch and the eateries’ many devotees will be delighted to learn that Harriet Leander, the genial Finnish chef who did so much to establish its reputation, has just published a wonderful book, entitled Nimmo’s; Anecdotes and Recipes, combining recipes of favourite Nimmo’s dishes with a wealth of great stories and illustrations.

IRISH ROCKERS Royseven return to Galway as part of their current Irish tour, to play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday November 12 at 9pm.
The band is currently on the crest of a wave with their No 1 album You Say, We Say yielding three Top 40 singles including the No 1 ‘We Should Be Lovers’. The album’s success has also led to the band enjoying a busy festival season, including performances at Oxegen, Sea Sessions, Brayfest, and guesting with Kaiser Chiefs at their recent Olympia Theatre show in Dublin.
