Gerry O’Connor to play Kinvara

GERRY O’CONNOR, one of the finest banjo players in Ireland, mandolin master Brendan O’Regan, and guitarist Tony Byrne are coming to Kinvara.

The trio will play Johnson’s Hall this Saturday at 9pm. Gerry O’Connor has released three solo albums and is a member of Three Men and a Dog. Brendan O’Regan has written scores for Druid and Abbey Theatre productions. Tony Byrne is a member of Scottish Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis’ band.

Drawing workshop in Connemara

A ONE day intensive drawing workshop with artist Denise Hogan, takes place in Connemara, on Saturday March 31 from 10.30am to 5.30pm.

The workshop will be held in Ballydoulough (three minutes from Cornamona, 10 minutes from Clonbur, one hour from Galway). Participants will draw with brush, paints, egg tempera, charcoal, etc.
