MONROE’S LIVE has just opened a new regular slot for live music - The Back Bar - and The Lazy Blues Band have a regular slot there, starting tomorrow at 10pm.

The band are Mark Sullivan (guitar/vocals) Maciek Zaworonek (harmonica), Eoin McCann (guitar/vocals), and Donal Kerins (drums). Their set is heavily influenced by BB King, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, and Rory Gallagher, mixing blues classics with self penned tracks.

BIG MONSTER Love, the stage name of Dublin singer-songwriter Cormac Canney, will release his new album Game Over in the Róisín Dubh this weekend.

The launch will take place in the upstairs bar of the Róisín this Saturday at 8.30pm. Cormac employs acoustic guitar, drum beats, and keyboards to create melodic indie pop that “waxes metaphysical about what’s what and what is not”.

The exhibition draws its inspiration from cinema, theatre, music, and television as departure points to produce a series of drawings, videos, prints, and audio works. The idea is to explore the performance based nature of the source material.
