Galway Earth Festival to be held on Monday

THE GALWAY Earth Festival takes place this Monday. A co-operation of musicians, artists, and volunteers, it will seek to raise funds and public awareness of the local and global environment through music, food, lectures, and craic.

There will be stalls and activities in the Black Box Theatre from 2pm to 5pm, a concert featuring a host of Irish and international acts from 5pm to 2pm, and a variety of talks and lectures in the Rowing Club, Woodquay, from 2pm to 6pm.

‘We Like Short Shorts’ will feature short films in any genre. The only criteria for entry is that the film must be under 20 minutes long (films under five minutes are especially welcome).
