Monday night saw TV3 bring the successful TV show The Apprentice to the streets of Galway. Sponsored by Bank of Ireland, the candidates had to choose two local businesses to sell and promote their local produce. Team Zest went with the two businesses they felt would produce the most sales on the day - Martin Divilly’s butchers of Westside and Goya’s café and bakery of Kirwan’s Lane.

When Fionn Mac Cumhaill, the Irish mythical hero, suddenly became the sole benefactor of all the wisdom of the world by virtue of being the first to taste the salmon of knowledge he unwittingly deprived his boss of a hard-earned prize. Fionn, who was requested to cook the fish for supper, burnt his finger while cooking the salmon and put his thumb in his mouth to cool the flesh.
