With live music in the chic new Coopers Bar, DJ sets from the house DJ and Today FM’s Fergal D’Arcy getting the party started in the new look Lounge, irresistible live sets from a selection of bands until late in the Ballroom and late night tunes on the Terrace, Race Week entertainment at Radisson Blu Galway also sees the welcome return of Maurice the Piano Man, entertaining expectant guests in The Lounge, who look forward to his tunes, year after year!
Live music comes from the electrifying That 80’s Band, playing all the smash hits of the era, and the charming trio The Luna Boys, a musical mash-up of Mumford & Sons meets Paul Simon with even more harmonies! Also on the good times roster are Treble and Bass, a two-piece act with double bass, acoustic guitar and vocals and a repertoire ranging from old jazz standards to modern pop classics, and Brass & Co, with their exciting and energising 9-member line-up including a full brass section, featuring 2 trumpets, 2 trombones and saxophone.
With a selection of live music every day from Monday, July 31st until Saturday, August 5th, entertainment during Race Week at Radisson Blu Galway is completely free, but – as always – get there early!
Served Wednesday to Saturday for those hungry race goers who are planning on dancing the night away, sustenance at Radisson Blu Galway during Race Week includes stir-fried chicken & rice in a noodle box, crispy chicken sandwich with sriracha mayo & red cabbage slaw in a brioche bun, a foot long Guinness hot dog with caramelised onion aïoli in a Waterford ‘blaa-guette’, and Radisson ‘disco fries’, skinny fries with beefy gravy, shredded cheese & garlic mayo – just the ticket to get those energy levels up after a day at the races!
