More than 91 per cent of pharma and medtech companies in Ireland will hire during 2017 and 2018.

“The continued growth of the Galway medtech cluster depends on the continuous development of a skilled labour pool. According to recent market research carried out in Innopharma Education, 76 per cent of respondents stated there is a shortage of appropriately skilled graduates available, while over 66 per cent stated that their minimum academic qualification requirement for new hires is a Level 8 bachelor’s or level 9 master’s degree,” says programme director Finbarr Sheehy.
