Steven Sharpe's Dubh Me Do

Dylan Murphy, Emma Langford, and Gra Cotter to perform

THE SECOND installment of Steven Sharpe's new gig nights upstairs at the Róisín Dubh, with each given the title of the famous song with the world 'Love' replaced by 'Dubh', is on Thursday October 29.

'Dubh Me Do' (spot the reference Beatles fans ) will be headlined by vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Dylan Murphy. His dextrous and impressive style draws on blues, classic rock, and grunge, and has earned him membership of Steven Sharpe and the Broke Straight Boys, and collaboration with My Fellow Sponges. Check out his debut EP, Tell No One Your Goals.

Also on the bill is jazz-folk singer, songwriter, and guitarist Emma Langford. Her inspirations include Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, Nick Drake, and Joanna Newsom, and her songs tackle love, loss, and friendship. Golden Plec has called her vocal style "delicate and firm, vulnerable and defiant."

Support is from jazz-pop singer Gra Cotter, whose inspirations include Julie London, Madeleine Peryoux, and Chet Baker. Doors are at 9pm and admission is free.
