Baile an Salsa to play Monroe's Live

Baile an Salsa brings its eclectic mix of Irish traditional music and salsa to Monroe’s Live on Saturday August 29.

The 10 piece band will perform their full energetic show of original salsa material blended with traditional Irish tunes that gives them their unique, captivating, sound. The popular band headlined the 2014 Temple Bar TradFest.

Formed in 2013, Baile an Salsa seamlessly and skillfully blend their passion for Latin salsa and traditional Irish music, which they call "salsa-trad". Andres Martorell, the lead vocalist and founder of the band, brings melodies from various styles including salsa, rumba, flamenco, and sean nós. Expect to hear songs in Irish, Spanish, and English.

Baile an Salsa were selected as the Play Irish artist on Galway Bay FM. They have performed live on RTE1's The Late Late Show, and played the Guinness Festival and Cork Gathering Festival in 2013. Prepare for a lively night of salsa beat infused with trad on the main stage at Monroe’s Live.
