Leading Galway folk musicians release charity single

SOME OF GALWAY’S greatest folk musicians, like Sean Keane, Sean Tyrrell, Mary McPartlan, and Johnny Duhan, have joined forces to create The Claddagh Band.

The Claddagh Band will launch their new single ‘Part Of A Tribe’ as a download on Friday December 5, proceeds from which will raise funds for the St Vincent de Paul.

Johnny Duhan, writer of such songs as ‘The Voyage’ and ‘Don’t Give Up ‘Til It’s Over’, said ‘Part Of A Tribe’ deals with “team spirit and community cooperation for surmounting life’s challenges and struggles”.

The Claddagh Band is Dolores and Sean Keane, Sean Tyrrell, Eleanor Shanley, Mary McPartlan, Michelle Lally, Jan Nagle ,and Johnny Duhan, as well as jazz/blues singer Mary Coughlan, alongside Carl Hession and Tony Maher (keyboards ) and Declan O’Donoghue (drums ).
