Luke McMullen exhibition @ Kenny’s

HUNTER S Thompson, Johnny Cash, George Bernard Shaw, and half of Angelina Jolie’s head all appear in the new exhibition by former graffiti artist Luke McMullan.

Those who wander... runs at The Kenny Gallery, Liosbán, until July 31 as part of the Galway Fringe Festival. It will receive its official opening this evening at 6pm with Macnas artistic director Noeline Kavanagh as the guest speaker.

Although McMullan does not paint on walls anymore, graffiti is the foundation of the art he makes today. He hopes those who view his art do not feel constrained by the titles of his paintings but rather “explore their meaning in your own imagination”.

The Kenny Gallery is open Mondays to Saturdays, 9am to 5pm. Admission is free.
