This Saturday OMG @ Zhivago celebrates International Record Store Day.
In addition to its stock of hundreds of new and classic vinyl albums, it will also be stocking exclusive releases specially produced to mark the occasion.
The most anticipated title is the release of the first Pixies studio album in 23 years, in addition to titles by Bruce Springsteen, Sex Pistols, Nirvana, Villagers, and many more.
Record Store Day came into being in 2007 when more than 700 independent stores in the USA came together to celebrate their culture. UK and Ireland followed suit and 2014 will see the seventh celebration of the music’s unique independent sector.
This is the one day that all of the independently-owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists across the globe make special appearances and performances.
Vinyl is making a huge comeback at the moment so to join the revolution visit OMG @ Zhivago on Shop Street on Saturday to find a huge range of vinyl, as well as CDs, DVDs and Blu Rays.
