Galway Arts Festival show gets London production

RIVERRUN, OLWEN Fouéré’s imaginative and acclaimed stage interpretation of Joyce’s Finnegan’s Wake, which premiered at last year’s Galway Arts Festival, is to be staged in London.

Riverrun, a Galway Arts Festival and TheEmergencyRoom co-production, is to be staged in London’s National Theatre venue The Shed, from March 11 to 22. This is the second arts festival co-production to be performed at the LNT, the first being Enda Walsh’s Misterman in 2012.

Riverrun enjoyed critical acclaim in the Irish and British press. The Guardian said the show had “originality and a touch of genius”, The Irish Times described Fouéré’s performance as ‘thrillingly accomplished”.

The production recently made many Irish newspapers’ End of Year Highlights/Top 10 Lists, including The Irish Times, the Sunday Independent, Irish Independent, and Galway Advertiser.
