Classical and ballet @ The Eye

THE BOLSHOI Ballet’s Romeo & Juliet and The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra performing Berlioz and Mendelssohn are to be screened at The Eye Cinema.

This Sunday at 4pm, Prokofiev’s ballet of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, will be broadcast live from The Bolshoi in Moscow to The Eye in Wellpark. Choreographed by Yuri Grigorovich, this sumptuously costumed production is one of the great Bolshoi Ballet classics.

On Sunday May 19 at 6.30pm, broadcast live from Berlin, the German capital’s philharmonic orchestra, with director Claudio Abbado, will perform Berlioz’s ‘Symphony Fanjoyces tastique’, and Mendelssohn’s ‘Music for a Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
