Don Stiffe’s Garvey’s residency

DON STIFFE, one of Galway’s best loved folk singers can be heard and enjoyed at his residency in Garvey’s Bar, Eyre Square each Sunday from 9.30pm to 11.30pm.

Originally from Bohermore, over the last seven years Don has established himself as a popular singer-songwriter in the folk genre. He released his debut album Start Of A Dream in 2006 and it featured contributions from Frankie Gavin, Sharon Shannon, Arty McGlynn, and Cathal Hayden.

Don played The Volvo Ocean Race in 2009. In 2010, he was invited to play at the Irish Culture Festival in Cleveland, Ohio, Catskills Irish Arts week, Upstate New York and the Irish Centre, Philadelphia. In 2011, he was one of the finalists on The All Ireland Talent Show and followed this with the release of his second album Life’s Journey.

Don’s songs have been recorded by Sean Keane, Kate Purcell, Moving Cloud, Matt Keane, and Cherish The Ladies.
