Get ready to slap on the Tan

AISLING AND Siobhán get ready for a night on the town, putting on make-up, discussing lads, ordering a taxi, straightening the hair, and plastering themselves in fake tan.

This is Tan, a new play which gives both a comic and unsettling insight into what can go on when girls are getting ready for a night out.

Tan, written and performed by Ann Blake (vocalist with The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra ) and Marie Boylan, and directed by Myles Breen, will be staged by Wildebeest Theatre in NUI Galway as part of the Galway Fringe Festival.

After seeing the show, comedian Karl Spain declared: “I learned more about women watching this show than I did from six series of Sex and the City.”

Tan will be running in The Cube, Áras na Mac Léinn, NUIG, at 8pm tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday. Tickets are €10. To book call 086 - 0867237. See also www.galwayfringe.ie
