Even though Ireland are out of Euro 2012, our TV schedules are still choked up with soccer. If you need an escape fom the endless sports talk, why not visit the g Hotel and the EYE Cinema on June 22 for a glamorous night of cocktails, cupcakes, and cinema?

The event, organised by the Alan Kerins Project and GOAL, promises to be a completely soccer-free zone. Instead, guests will enjoy food and drinks provided by the Galway Cupcakery and Diageo at 7.30pm in the luxurious surroundings of the g Hotel. They will then make their way to the nearby EYE Cinema at 9.15pm for the premiere of the hilarious romantic comedy The Five Year Engagement, starring Emily Blunt and Jason Segel.

Spot prizes will be on offer throughout the evening. Tickets cost €20, covering cocktails, cupcakes, and entry to the cinema. Proceeds go to the Alan Kerins Project and GOAL. To buy tickets, call Claire Nolan from the Alan Kerins Project on 087 3649141 or Maura Lennon from GOAL on 087 9146837. The organisers would like to thank the g Hotel, the EYE Cinema, the Galway Cupcakery, Diageo, and Elvery’s Sports for their support.
