Fiddler On The Roof

FIDDLER ON The Roof, the much loved musical about a Russian Jewish father and his strong willed daughters, will be staged in Galway next year.

The Patrician Musical Society will perform Fiddler On The Roof in The Town Hall Theatre from March 8 to 12 and tickets are already on sale.

The show was inspired by ‘Tevye and his Daughters’ and other stories of Eastern European Jewish life written by the Russian author and playwright Sholem Aleichem in 1894.

The stories were adapted into the musical Fiddler On The Roof which won a Tony Award in 1965 and it features such well known songs as ‘If I Were A Rich Man’, ‘Sunrise Sunset’, ‘Matchmaker’, and ‘Tradition’.

Tickets are €15 for Tuesday March 8 and €20 for the Wednesday 9 to Saturday 12 shows. Tickets can be booked through the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
