Move over Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, Galway’s elder citizens are taking to the ramp in a unique fashion show featuring 65-plus fashions and we mean years not size!! It is a time for the more experienced women and men from the west to take a bow and show they are worth it by taking to the catwalk.

Showing how it’s done members from active retirement clubs around Galway City and County will showcase Anthony Ryans Autumn Winter 2010 Fashion Collections. The fashion show promises to be a wonderful event and will be held in The Ardilaun Hotel on Tuesday November 16 at 8.30pm. The proceeds of the fashion show will be donated to the Active Retirement Association Western Region.

Labels such as Jacques Vert, Alex & Co, Libra, Avalon, and Gerry Weber are among some of the stylish collections being modelled on the night. Shoes will be supplied by Flanagans Footwear, Eyre Square. Hair will be styled by Barry’s Hair Studio and Makeup By Avalon Beauty Salon.

The show promises to be a wonderful evening with a major raffle planned. Guests can also enjoy a pre-fashion show champagne reception as the event promises to be a perfect night out in Galway for keen fashionistas.

Tickets are available from the Active Retirement Clubs and are also on sale at Anthony Ryans main store on Shop Street.
