Without George move upstairs to Monroe’s Live

FROM SUPPORTING Blondie at the Galway Arts Festival to wowing audiences at the Volvo Ocean Race, Without George are no strangers to playing the big stages.

The band hold a regular Friday night acoustic slot downstairs in Monroe’s Tavern but now they are moving upstairs to the venue’s main stage for a full electric set tomorrow at 11pm.

Without George - Mark Spellman (vocals ), Johnny Holleran (guitar ), and Stephen Monaghan (guitar/vocals ), Chris Green (drums ), and Dave Donoghue (bass ) - play a mixture of “hill-country blues and earthy rock” and always bring energy and commitment to their live sets.

On the night the band will by joined by Pete ‘the Wizard’ Berrill (trumpet ) and Geoff Ward (saxophone ), to perform songs from their eponymous debut album, as well as a host of new material.
