Public meeting on the future for the arts in Galway

How can the arts be made integral to Galway’s future? How can Galway continue to be a city where artists want to work? Is there a wider role for the arts in Galway at a time of recession?

These are some of the issues which will be debated at a public forum in Bar No 8, on Monday February 22 at 9pm.

Speakers will include Maeve Mulrennan (Galway Arts Centre ), Fergal McGrath (Town Hall Theatre ), and Ros Dixon (NUI, Galway ). It will be followed by a question and answer session.

The forum is intended to give people the opportunity to gather and discuss issues in an informal setting, and is organised by the Galway Green Party as part of the ‘LateDebates at No 8’ series
