THE FILM-MAKER Bob Quinn will screen his documentary Fly Tippers, depicting the life of a group of Connemara people living in London in the 1980s, in Áras na nGael.
Bob Quinn has received many awards for his filming works, which include Poitín (1977 ), The Atlantean Trilogy (1981 – 1984 ), Dunaway (1987 ), The Atlanteans: Navigation (1998 ), and Vox Humana (2008 ). In 1988 he was elected as a member of Aosdána and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Irish Film Institute in 2001.
The screening of Fly Tippers takes place on Tuesday February 9 at 8.15pm. Admission is €5/3.
