A Galway Slimming World consultant has been recognised for her outstanding work helping people achieve their weight loss goals and enjoy healthier, happier lives.
Maura O’Connor, who runs the Tuesday Slimming World group at the Menlo Park Hotel, recently attended a special celebration at the company’s Derbyshire head office after achieving its prestigious Emerald Award. The award recognises groups with the highest number of members reaching their personal target weight, placing Maura among the top-performing consultants across the UK and Ireland.
Over the past year, Maura has supported an incredible 129 members to reach their target weight, with many more on the brink of achieving it. In 2026 alone, members of her group have lost a combined total of 555.25 stone.
“This achievement belongs to everyone in the Menlo Park group," Maura O'Connor said. "Their success goes far beyond the scales. Members have developed healthier habits, become more active, improved their health and wellbeing, and gained confidence along the way.”
The celebration brought together high-achieving consultants from across the UK and Ireland, who enjoyed meeting company directors, touring head office and hearing about exciting developments planned for 2027.
“It was an absolute honour to be invited," Maura added. "I love supporting my members, celebrating their milestones and seeing the difference they make to their lives. I truly believe I have the most rewarding job in the world.”
