A Liverpool-born tribute to The Beatles is heading to Galway for an unmissable, hit-packed show celebrating one of the greatest albums ever made.
The Mersey Beatles have wowed fans around the world for 25 years and they are now bringing their biggest ever tour to Galway Town Hall Theatre this Tuesday, November 3.
In 1966 – amid the whirlwind of Beatlemania – The Beatles recorded Revolver, a ground-breaking album which pushed the boundaries of music.
Sixty years on, it is still regarded as one of music’s greatest albums with such iconic songs as ‘Taxman’, ‘And Your Bird Can Sing’, ‘Dr Robert’, ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’, ‘Here There and Everywhere’ and ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’.
The Beatles quit touring before Revolver was released, meaning fans never got to hear it live. The Mersey Beatles are putting that right with their all new 2026 tour, including an eagerly-awaited night in Galway.
The band, which performs sold-out shows around world, will play many of Revolver’s greatest moments in the show as well as another set of Beatles’ classics, including ‘She Loves You’, ‘All My Loving’, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’, ‘Help’, ‘Come Together’, ‘Let It Be’, ‘Get Back’ and ‘Hey Jude’ – plus many more
Just like the real thing, The Mersey Beatles hail from Liverpool where they were the resident Beatles’ tribute at the world-famous Cavern Club for a decade – playing more than 600 times at the legendary venue where the Fab Four honed their talents in the 1960s.
Since leaving The Cavern Club, the band – Mark Bloor (John ), Steven Howard (Paul ), Craig McGown (George ) and Brian Ambrose (Ringo ) – have toured the world many times over.
Looking ahead to their Galway show, Steven said: “We cannot wait to take to the stage at the Town Hall Theatre. We always have an amazing night in Galway – the audiences are always up for a good time – so this will be another fantastic night.
“Every year we create an all-new show and this year we are delighted to be celebrating the 60th anniversary Revolver – one of the most iconic and ground-breaking albums ever recorded.
“This year’s shows have gone down amazingly well here in Europe and in America and Australia. It’s a real hit-packed celebration of the greatest band of all time, so Galway… get your tickets now – it’s going to be a brilliant night!”
