It has been confirmed that the Volkswagen ID. Tiguan will replace the ID.4 and ID.5 electric vehicles from 2027.
The new ID. Tiguan is set to be revealed in full on October 10. It will be offered alongside the existing Tiguan with combustion and hybrid powertrains.
Volkswagen said the change is intended to provide customers with an established name from its existing range. The ID.2 being changed to the ID.Polo is another example of this.
Since its launch in 2021, the ID.4 has been one of Volkswagen's best selling cars in Ireland, with more than 10,000 units sold in that time.
