The elderly cyclist who was injured in a road accident near Clifden earlier this week has died.
The man, who was in his eighties, received serious injuries as a result of a collision between a car and a bicycle at around 2.40pm on Monday afternoon, September 21.
The accident occurred on the R341 Ballyconneely Road in Clifden.
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses following the death of the cyclist.
The man was brought by ambulance to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious injuries following the accident. He was pronounced deceased on Wednesday.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area of the R341 between Ballyconneely and Roundstone between 2.15pm and 3pm on Monday, September 21, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
