Coláiste Muire Máthair is situated on over 20 acres of verdant grassland in the heart of Galway city. They are a proud academic institution, producing some of the highest Leaving Certificate results in the county, as well as some of the highest performing sports and science teams in the country.

The first steps taken under the historical wrought iron archway are the initial steps on a journey of learning, friendships, and personal development. Their dedicated, highly trained and experienced staff present an extensive and well-rounded curriculum to all students. That curriculum is possibly the most extensive one in Galway city, encompassing hands-on practical subjects working in conjunction with highly academic subjects, a variety of modern languages and science subjects, business, computing and the arts. Furthermore, the innovative Learning Support Department caters for the additional needs of all students, allowing them to access the curriculum in a way that works for them.
Coláiste Muire Máthair are fortunate to have a wonderful student body, who are supportive of each other's learning and kind to each other in times of need.
