Fresh from being crowned Female Entertainer of the Year, and previously voted Female Vocalist of the Year at the Irish Country Music Awards, Claudia Buckley is bringing her brand-new production to Clifden Arts Festival on Friday, September 25.
Performing as part of the 49th festival, Buckley will take to the stage at 9pm, bringing her powerful vocals, infectious energy and love of traditional country music to Conamara’s capital as part of her biggest tour to date.
With multiple No. 1 country hits to her name, Buckley has built a reputation as one of the most exciting voices in Irish country music. Her self-penned single ‘Honey Bee’ also broke into the Irish pop charts, showcasing an artist equally at home honouring country music's rich traditions while bringing her own contemporary style to the genre.
Galway-based, and steeped in country music from an early age, Buckley has toured extensively throughout Ireland, Britain and beyond, winning a loyal following along the way. Now, with her second studio album released, she arrives in Clifden with a show that promises to be one of the musical highlights of this year's festival.
Claudia's connection to country music runs deep, but it is her ability to connect directly with an audience that has become a defining feature of her live performances. Her new production brings together classic country influences, original material and songs that have established her as a major name on the Irish country scene.
